Anton Treuer’s in-person training, “Healing Historical & Contemporary Trauma: Putting the Ojibwe Cultural Toolbox to Work in Our Communities,” is tailored for staff and community members of the Bad River Health and Wellness Center. This interactive session will empower participants with Ojibwe-based strategies to address the impact of historical and ongoing trauma on community health. Dr. Treuer will guide attendees in practical, culturally-grounded tools for healing, resilience, and supporting wellness in patient care, family life, and everyday connections. Designed to foster dialogue and skills-building for both professionals and community members, this event will help strengthen the Bad River community by reconnecting with cultural strengths and traditions.
