  • Bemidji State University American Indian Resource Center 1500 Birchmont Drive Northeast Bemidji, MN, 56601 United States (map)

Rally: 5:00PM at the Chief Bemidji Statue

March: 5:30PM to BSU American Indian Resource Center

Gathering: 6:00-7:30PM BSU American Indian Resource Center

This event is open to the community, family friendly, and free of charge. We will rally, march, and gather in Bemidji in solidarity with the water protectors at Standing Rock protesting construction of the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline. At the gathering, a drum and pipe ceremony will start us off, a meal will be provided, and several people will speak, followed by an open mic. This event is intended to be informative for those who want to know what the issues are with the pipeline protest, what's happening now, and what the future looks like.

This event is peaceful and prayerful. No weapons or what could considered weapons. Sponsored by Bemidji Area Truth & Reconciliation, Indigenous Environmental Network, BSU Council of Indian Students, and BSU Students for the Environment, and the BSU American Indian Resource Center.
