Join celebrated Indigenous scholar and racial equity advocate Dr. Anton Treuer for a refreshing and interactive discussion of racial equity. This session will be designed to help all participants tackle tough topics in the work place with an eye on developing practical tools and perspective to maximize your positive impact. Racially predictable disparities persist in our schools across the country in spite of decades of concerted effort to combat them. If greater effort hasn't yielded the results we all want to see, maybe it's time for a different approach. Let’s take a deep dive into new tools for your classroom, school, and system to examine how we all do better when we all do better.

Anton Treuer (pronounced troy-er) is Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University and author of 19 books. His equity, education, and cultural work has put him on a path of service around the region, the nation, and the world.
