Building a Thriving Native Nation: Culturally Grounded Leadership (in-person)

  • Niibaa-giizhig Tribal Center Hertel, Wisconsin United States (map)

Leadership in a tribal nation is not limited to elected officials or people with supervisory titles. Everyone has opportunities to influence workplace culture, strengthen relationships, and contribute to the health of the nation. In this session, Dr. Anton Treuer draws on Ojibwe teachings and contemporary leadership practices to explore what culturally grounded leadership looks like in action. Participants will consider approaches to leadership built around service, accountability, relationship, humility, and shared purpose—and how these principles can help create workplaces where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work.

Please note, this is a closed session for staff and leadership of the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin.
