As part of the Bad River Health and Wellness Center's Cultural Training Day, nationally recognized author, historian, and educator Dr. Anton Treuer will explore the powerful connection between culture, belonging, and health outcomes. Drawing on Indigenous knowledge, research, and lived experience, Treuer will highlight how cultural identity, language, community connection, and meaningful relationships contribute to resilience, healing, and overall well-being for both community members and public health staff. Participants will gain insights into the role of relational health in supporting both staff and community members, while discovering practical ways to foster connection, trust, and a stronger sense of belonging in health and wellness settings.
This is a private event for staff of the Bad River Health and Wellness Center.
